Ethics and AI – MiXiT 2022
During the second edition of MiXiT 2022, Guillaume attended the conference on the second day: “ What values for the regulation of AI through ethics? hosted by Rayna Stamboliyska.
Are Artificial Intelligence and ethics compatible?
The basic subject: "questions and heightening on the challenges of AI and ethics necessary for a mastery of automation and decision-making in the years to come”
Questions raised during the presentation:
- What about theautomation of decision-making ?
- What are the consequences if society finds itself controlled by a AI with irrational decision-making capabilities ?
- Will AI be governable ? That is to say, allow or prohibit the behavior of individuals to apply safeguards
- Are humans really replaceable by robots? on all subjects?
This questioning involves the values following: accountability, security, health, human dignity, justice (rights and freedom), sovereignty.
It would take whole pages to deal with these subjects and to be an expert to position yourself. But the conference was of the order of " realization“. It should be noted that the only existing good practices on the design of AI and its governance come from the United States and Western Europe. The rest of the world is already on the sidelines.
