Manue, 10 years old @Peaks

Emmanuelle, HRD and head of internal communication at Peaks celebrates its 10th anniversary

Emmanuelle, Human Resources and Internal Communication Manager, celebrates her 10th anniversary at Peaks!
A look back at his first steps and his rose-tinted journey.

Do you remember… your arrival at Peaks?

Of course ! Ok, it's been 10 years, but I still have a little memory left!

In February 2012, through a common acquaintance, I find 5 years later, a former colleague, already president of Peaks: Fabrice. He introduces me to his company, his project and his need to structure his human resources.

And while after 6 years spent in a big consulting company, I had decided to change sectors, Fabrice convinced me to join the adventure, making me see that it is possible to put human in this sector known to be sorely lacking.

What was your first goal?

At the start, my first major HR project consisted of supporting Peaks in its new status as a company with more than 50 employees. Indeed, from a social point of view in particular, this implied important repercussions such as the creation of a Works Council, the implementation of the participation agreement, etc. Then, I surrounded myself with a shock team in order to internalize support functions such as payroll, accounting or training, to better control our entire value chain. On the collaborator side, my challenge was to propose an internal communication that allows, despite the distance between the agencies or the customer sites, to create a link, to federate, to bring the teams closer together, to facilitate exchanges and sharing. It is with this in mind that I organized the first annual Peaks party a few months after my arrival, in November 2012, at the Chalet des Isles in Paris for those who remember it.

What have these 10 years of loyalty and investment in Peaks brought you?

Having had the opportunity to grow and move forward at the pace of the company and its development. Peaks has always lived in a frantic tempo plagued by ideas and projects emerging and evolving over time, teams, economic and recently health contexts, technological trends etc...

I have lived 1000 professional lives while remaining in the same position as an HR manager.

The HR profession being by nature a soft science, everything is constantly evolving, lines are moving, labor law is evolving, the world of work is changing, employee expectations are changing. It's exciting to be part of all of this. Imagine, propose, organize, rewrite, evolve while preserving our values and remaining faithful to who we are.

The Covid has recently demonstrated that we have acquired good reflexes and an organization that is always flexible enough to create new rules, while retaining the possibility of tailoring so that the tool never exceeds the human. In short, the desire is still there, the challenges to be met are numerous, leaving little room for routine!

How do you envision the rest of your career?

At Peaks of course, with the idea of continuing to move forward and develop HR practices, while keeping our DNA intact; what makes say today of Peaks that it is good to work there, to meet, and to blossom as well professionally as humanly.
